The lightning field is a weaker and stronger version of a lightning bolt. It begins as a line, at a set point of the caster's, which then fires in the caster's chosen direction. This "line" becomes a field of energy that is the length of the room, up to 40'. It then moves forward, going through everything in its path, gradually dissipating. The field begins with a damage amount of 4d6+1d6/lvl but loses 2d6 every yard it moves. Essentially, when this reaches 0d6, the field has dissipated. This spell is dangerous at lower levels, lethal when cast by a high level wizard. It was created by Genevakah, a woman leading a millitant wizard faction on an unknown world. Almost forgot -- material components are a crystalline rod worth at least 500 gp and a silk hankerchief, which is destroyed in the casting.
