Upon casting this spell the wizard causes a ray of a certain color to strike out and hit one creature. The damage and special effect of the ray is described in the following table. If the caster wishes he can continue the ray but only if the caster starts with the first color and wishes to continue through the entire spectrum. For the color white if the char. fail a save vs spell the character is blinded for 2d4 rounds plus 1 round per level of the caster. For yellow, if the character fails a save he takes 1d6+1point/level of the caster. For red, if the character fails the save he is hit by the effects of the FEAR spell. For green they must save vs. poison or die in 10d6 rounds. For blue they must save vs paralysis or be held for 1d8+1round per level of the caster. For black they must make a svae vs death magic or die instantly. Even if the char makes the save they take 50pts of damage from the severe pain of this color!
