This spell opens a one-way path to Ocanthus on the Lower Plane of Acheron. Through this path come the vorpal blades notorious on that layer. One plate per four levels is conjured. The plates are between 1 and 50 feet in diameter, with the DM determining size (1d100 divided by 2, round down). The razor-thin blades strike as +3 weapons and have a THAC0 of 11 (ignore armor; only dexterity bonuses apply. They are vorpal as the vorpal blades in the DM guide. If the vorpal attack is unsuccessful, the baldes inflict 3d8+3/4 levels of caster. This spell lasts until the blade reaches the limit of distance, dispelled, or makes contact with something. The caster determines at what height each blade will appear at the time of casting.
