As the caster finishes up his verbal component a blue ball of light appears before him. the caster then must place his Int. and Wis. into ball for every point of wis and int combined into the ball the more dmg it does 1d4 for every 1 point wis and 1 point int. Caster can never go below 3 points on his origonal scores ie: Polance has a wis of 16 and a int of 18 he can thus place 6d4 dmg into ball however over a one month time span he gains only one point of wis and int back. taking as total of 6 months for polance to regain his full wis and int.
The spells intial dmg is 3d6 so you don't have to waste wis or int on it but it is good for situations where heavy dmg is needed say when youve just called a dragon a bat winged newt.
